HEALTH AND GUARANTEE
The little cat breeder offers a one-year health guarantee on all kittens purchased from our website (http://royalcatscatterry.com/)
Please consult your state’s laws if you have any questions about what is covered.
After purchasing your new kittens, you should take them to a licensed veterinarian for an examination within ten days. If the veterinarian determines, within ten days of purchase, that your cat is clinically ill or has passed away from a physical condition that has been maintained or is likely to have been contracted by the date of purchase, you have the following options:
- Return the kitten for a complete refund.
- Return the kitten for a replacement kitten of equal value.
- Retain the kitten and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinary fees, not exceeding the purchase price.
- These options do not apply where a seller, who has provided a health certificate issued by a veterinarian, discloses in writing at the time of sale the health problem for which the buyer later seeks to return the kitten.
You have the same options as outlined above if, within 30 days of purchase, a licensed veterinarian discovers that your kitten has an inherent or inherited defect that negatively affects the animal’s health or that your kitten passed away as a result of an innate or genetic defect.
Within two days of receiving the veterinarian’s certificate of your little cat’s illness, you should provide the dealer with the name, address, and phone number of the inspecting veterinarian. Privileges will be forfeited if the dealer is not notified within two business days. The sale of a small cat is governed by various laws in each state; Please educate yourself on the laws of the state where you purchased your cat.
The guaranteed well-being of sold cats is governed differently by each state in the United States. Any reproducer that advertises through our website is guaranteed to cover the soundness of their small cats for approximately thirty days in states that do not have a mandatory health guarantee in place. Priority is given to a state rule that provides an assurance for more than 30 days.
*Kittens from some breeders come with extended guarantees. A breeder cannot provide a health guarantee that is not at least comparable to state law. Read on for a more in-depth explanation of extended genetic health guarantees.
